Treaty of Tudhaliya IV and Sausgamuwa of Amurru
CTH 105
Tudhaliya IV binds his vassal Sausgamuwa of Amurru to a trade embargo against Assyria, its key clause barring ships of Ahhiyawa, a name some scholars equate with the Mycenaean Greeks, from sailing to the king of Assyria, a stipulation distinct from the treaty's separate and more debated erasure of Ahhiyawa from the list of Great Kings.
